Writer's Guidelines

General Guidelines

No novellas or novels at this time. If you are interested in submitting a novel or novella please see www.sonar4publications.com

All submissions MUST be Science Fiction or Horror. NO Fantasy. (Exceptions maybe made if strong elements of Horror or Science Fiction are within the story)

Erotica is accepted. Anything involving Rape or Kids will NOT be accepted. You must be 18 years of age or older to submit and read any Erotica submissions in this ezine. A seperate section will be placed for an issue of Erotica stories, flashes, micros that are submitted. Include the word Erotica in your subject line of your email for submission

There is no limit on amount of submissions you make.

Please don't submit through a Hotmail account.

You may make simultaneous submissions. If however, your work has been published elsewhere during this process, please let Sonar 4 know.

Sonar 4 does not allow work that has been published before (reprints).

You are granting Sonar 4 rights to publish your original work in that issue for
that particular issue. After that issue is published all rights to your work goes back to you.(30 days after publishing)

A monthly online Ezine

The Ezine accepts submissions year round and the following are accepted:

Short Stories
Anywhere from 1000 words to 5000 words.

Flash Fiction
Anywhere from 500 to 999 words.

Micro
Anywhere from 50 to 499 words.

Poetry
Sonar4 no Longer accepts poetry. If interested in submitting Science Fiction and Horror Poetry please see our sister site OutPost Poetry Ezine


All submissions send to:

In the subject line of your email please include: Submission, your title, your name
In the body of the email please include a 75-100 word bio.


Formats accepted are:

As an RTF. file. Including word count, page numbering, title, your name and email

Payment

Submissions are not paid at this time for Sonar 4 Science Fiction and Horror Ezine.


Response time

Submissions may take 4-8 weeks to review. Please be patient, as you will see a response back. If after 8 weeks you have received no response from Sonar4 please send a query on your submission to:
sonar4editor@gmail.com.

Reviews are done in house. If interested in getting your novel,novella,anthology, or movie
reviewed for the ezine, please send a query to:

with a pdf review copy of any written material. If it is necessary to send review copies of written or DVD movies via postal mail, please state that in your request and an address will be mailed back to you where to send the material.
